Port of Port Angeles Operational Contacts

Port of Port Angeles was created through the election process in 1922, and began operations in 1923.  The Port of Port Angeles district includes all of Clallam County.  Port operation is divided into three functions, plus departments that support those functions and the mission of the Port.

Waterfront

The Waterfront Port operation is responsible for the marine terminals and related maintenance. It has several functions: Providing equipment, services and facilities for fishing, commercial work boats and recreational boats at Boat Haven and John Wayne Marina, offering cargo services and terminal facilities for loading and repair of large vessel, including log and lumber barges and containerized cargo businesses; maintaining public access to boating recreation.  Jerry Demetriff is the Port’s Public Works Manager. Jeff Robb is Airport and Marinas Manager.

Upland

Our Upland operation allows Port of Port Angeles to maintain a strong commitment to maritime trade and air transportation, at the same time expanding its role as a driver for the Peninsula’s economy. Property Management assists in the establishment of new and expanding businesses that support jobs and leases the Port's commercial and non-maritime real estate holdings such as the 34-acre North Airport Industrial Park and the Southwest Airport Industrial Park. David Hagiwara , the Port’s Director of Trade and Economic Development, oversees Port real estate development and economic development activities.

Air

The Port’s Aviation division operates William R. Fairchild International Airport and Sekiu Municipal Airport. Fairchild is a full service commercial and passenger airport. According to the latest available data, the airport served more than 24,000 passengers a year. Served by three cargo carriers, the airport also moves tons of air cargo annually. Jeff Robb is the Port’s Airport and Marinas Manager.

Other Port of Port Angeles departments include Executive, Administration, Finance, Budget, Accounting, Facilities, Planning, Environmental, Public Works, Legal and Human Resources.
